The DMZ

Feeding Mimi

storm

today I wake up I eat breakfast.i remember Mimi.i go to see her.she is excited to see me.my mom asked our host for some food for Mimi.he gave us a lot of lettuce.i went out gave Mim her food and she eat it all ate it all very fast.

later we left in a car and met a tour guide on a bus.we were the only people on the bus.it was reserved for us.the guides name (a girl) was Shumi.she was really, really nice and I really liked her.we stop at a store to get some noodles because we were really hungry.they were really good. then we left for the demilitarized zone.our first stop was a train station.the story is that it was built when the south Koreans thought reunification was coming soon.but it is not here an the north and south Koreans are still threatening each other.so even though there is a sign that says "to Pyongyang" the train does not go there.if they ever allow the train to go there the South Korean can catch it and travel through North Korea, through Russia and all the way to France and Spain in 10 days.now they have to take a boat, which takes 27 days (by the way my mom typed that).

and then we went to a hill where you could see all the way in N. Korea.on the way up the hill we drove by a danger area that was full of land mines left over from the war.that i think go boom ba!!!!!!!!!!then we went into a theater and saw a movie about the war from 1950-1953 (which by the way 1953 is my dad's birthdate).we went to a musuem and looked at really cool things and looked and guns and helmets.in the next room the floor was all glass.below was an imitation of of the area between N. and S Korea (the DMZ) that is now a national park because there are so many birds and animals there now.there are no people there at all (except for the army dudes).then we went into the third Tunnel that was also really cool!!!!!!!!!! it was built sneakily by the N. Koreans after the war because they wanted to invade Seoul.i took about a million pictures of nature things because I really care about nature, plants and animals and I really really love nature.(Fun fact off my opinion: if there were no people smoking (glug), buildings, plus a big pile of yucky gucky snucky wucky garbage it would become a tropical rain forest

Dear Audre,

Elly is here at Tahoe from Bali. She is waiting to go camping but with me to read your blog. She wants to keep hearing what you are doing. When she was in Bale, she got to pet a baby tiger and ride an elephant. She went on a safari and saw rhinos, tigers, hipos, an ostrich. She . to take a picture of the ostrich and it kept moving it's head from one window to another window. She also saw an owl that started "dancing" Elly agrees
that she likes nature too.
love, elly (typed by Elly)
